QA Analyst — Manual Testing Specialist

  • Tangier, Morocco
  • Full-Time
  • On-Site

Job Description:

About Us

We are a fast-growing, multi-brand media technology company operating across France, the Netherlands, the UK, Canada, and Morocco. Our platform delivers premium digital content experiences — news, entertainment, and education — to partners and consumers worldwide. With nearly 140 employees and 15+ years of product history, we are scaling our QA practice to match our ambitions.

We are looking for an experienced QA Analyst who takes pride in deep, hands-on manual testing. This is a role for someone who genuinely loves the craft of testing: designing rigorous test cases, uncovering edge cases, and ensuring users only ever see a polished product.

Role Overview

You will be the quality guardian of our web and mobile applications — owning the full manual testing lifecycle from test plan creation through execution, defect tracking, and sign-off. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and customer care teams across our international offices, and mentor junior testers to raise team-wide standards.

This is a manual-testing-first role. Automation experience is a bonus, but your instincts, analytical thinking, and thoroughness as a hands-on tester are what matter most here.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Design, write, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test reports grounded in functional and business requirements
  • Execute manual test cases across functional, regression, integration, smoke, and system testing phases with rigour and full traceability
  • Conduct thorough cross-platform testing on web browsers, iOS, and Android — on real devices as well as emulators/simulators
  • Perform manual API testing (REST/HTTP) using tools like Postman or Insomnia to validate back-end services and data integrity
  • Log, reproduce, and track software defects with clear steps, screenshots, and evidence in bug tracking tools (e.g. JIRA)
  • Participate actively in sprint ceremonies: test estimation, test planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives within an agile/scrum environment
  • Continuously improve QA processes, test coverage metrics, and testing methodologies

Collaboration & Mentoring

  • Partner with engineers, product managers, and UX designers to clarify acceptance criteria and define edge cases before development begins
  • Mentor junior QA testers through test case reviews and structured feedback sessions
  • Serve as a quality advocate — pushing back when features are not ready to ship

Customer Care Support

  • Collaborate with the customer support team to investigate, reproduce, and resolve reported user issues
  • Analyze recurring defect patterns to drive root-cause fixes and long-term product improvements

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of hands-on manual QA testing experience
  • Proven ability to write structured, detailed test cases, test plans, and defect reports
  • Strong experience testing web applications (cross-browser compatibility, responsive design)
  • Solid experience in mobile application testing on iOS and Android, including real devices and simulators
  • Comfortable with manual API testing using Postman, Insomnia, or cURL
  • Familiar with bug tracking and project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Trello, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of agile/scrum methodologies
  • Excellent analytical thinking and meticulous attention to detail
  • Clear written and spoken English and/or French (Arabic a plus)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to test automation concepts (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar) — not required, but appreciated
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Basic SQL or scripting knowledge for data validation
  • Experience in digital media, publishing, or SaaS environments
  • ISTQB Foundation or equivalent QA certification

What We Offer

  • Hybrid work: 2 days onsite / 3 days remote
  • Health insurance & CIMR
  • Gym membership
  • Premium media app access
  • Monthly team events and offsites
  • Transparent all-hands meetings with full business updates

We are an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. You don't need to match every requirement — if this role excites you, we encourage you to apply. We evaluate candidates on talent, potential, and overall fit. Our professional equality index score is 93/100.
